Sunday Services
8 am Traditional Holy Communion
10 am Sung Eucharist (Tiddlywinks and Sunday School)
6.30 pm Evening Prayer
Tiddlywinks - this is a group for preschool age children that meets in a room within the main church building during the 10am sunday service. Parents are welcome to come through with their children. We all start the service in church and the children go through to the choir vestry during the first hymn.
Sunday School - for school age children, they start in church and then go to the Church Hall across the road during the first hymn. They are supervised by two Sunday School leaders at all times.
Children are always welcome to stay in church during any of the services if they prefer.
The main services are supported by a full choir, accompanied by a particularly fine organ. We are about 35 miles (56km) north of Manchester in the Ribble Valley, in the Diocese of Blackburn. Our church is built on a limestone outcrop in the centre of the town of Clitheroe, within a peaceful church garden enjoying panoramic views across the valley, flanked to the north by Dunsop Fell through which the Trough of Bowland runs.
A peal of eight bells and an unusual east window depicting 1000 years of local history, reminds us of the long connection between the church and the community.
